Neurosis - Poor ability to adapt to one's environment, an inability to change one's life patterns, and the inability to develop a richer, more complex, more satisfying personality.

Ambivalence - Uncertainty or fluctuation, especially when caused by inability to make a choice or by a simultaneous desire to say or do two opposite or conflicting things.

Anomie - Social instability resulting from a breakdown of standards and values; also : personal unrest, alienation, and uncertainty that comes from a lack of purpose or ideals.

Ennui - A feeling of utter weariness and discontent resulting from satiety or lack of interest; boredom.

Dispirited - Discouraged; dejected; disheartened; gloomy.
